Hello - I’m Leigh Fogle, Founder of Fogle Art and Consulting and The Creative Exchange (CX904). I started Fogle Art here in Jacksonville 30 years ago this spring and grew it to become a leading firm in our region and our industry. When the recession hit, we relocated the company to Nashville, TN in response to our clients there and subsequently worked with healthcare facilities and corporate accounts across the Southeast and beyond. When COVID hit, our family decided it was time to relocate back to Jacksonville…am I ever glad we did. One of the projects we had the pleasure of working on was the renovation to the Bank of America tower at 50 North Laura Street in Downtown Jacksonville in partnership with Perdue Office Interiors. While installing that project we discovered an empty space on the ground floor facing Bay Street - Knowing my team needed an office, downtown needed retail and that creatives are always looking for an outlet to promote/sell their work - we launched CX904 - The Creative Exchange - a place of commerce but also of ideas.
Our lease is up in January at 50 N Laura and we had intended to carry on with promotion of local makers through the rest of the year but I have some news. I recently learned that I have breast cancer - a recurrence from an early-stage cancer I had from about 10 years ago. I am in good hands with our wonderful healthcare community in NE Florida but have had to make some decisions professionally….And so we will be closing CX904 effective Wednesday night, Oct. 2 - We’ll make use of the monthly artwalk in downtown Jacksonville to help us with a “closing” party - I do hope you can join us…5:00-8:00pm…7pm toast to celebrate the artists and makers of our community - together we are better. The artists we have showcased in the gallery currently are Tiffany Manning and David Engdahl plus a wide range of books and gift items - of course all by local makers.
Fogle Art is still going strong and I’m pleased to announce that 2024 is our best year in the 30 year history of our company - thanks to our amazing customers. We need your help to keep that momentum - my family, our staff, our creators, our community ask you for your patronage.
We will be relocating the Fogle Art offices to the Dennis + Ives facility later this year, opening office space there in January. We have been curating the art at that amazing facility since it’s opening in 2023 and our being on site will allow us to really bring it alive….plus thrilled that our production/custom frame shop at Philips and JTB is now fully operational.
New installations happening now - literally as I write this we are installing art for purchase and display at Office Images (formerly OE&S in San Marco) as well as at Workscapes new showroom, also at Dennis+Ives which will be opening later this month
Please follow us at Fogle Art to see how CX904 evolves…it may not be a physical exchange 52 weeks a year but it will evolve, just like any strong business does.
So many positives. Love to all of you- I hope you can join me Wednesday evening.
Leigh
